Every day items such as panadol and bandaids etc etc. Its all gratefully recieved.We started at Kokoda which made it easier as we didnt have to lug all the stuff with us.  </p>

They tend to have to work too hard with stiff soles. Look after your feet with vaseline etc etc. Take some 2&quot; duct tape for your feet as bandages and blister packs dont stay on when if your feet get wet and sweaty. Some are very pointy and sharp. You could injure your ankles this way. Im not sure you could wear gaiters with these  shoe/gloves.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ive seen runners wearing these on dirt tracks in the Blue Mountains around Sydeny, the only thing is I dont think they would stay on your feet when going through deep mud. I reckon youd lift your foot out then have to fish around for the shoe at the bottom of the swamp. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I use Thompsons ultra glucosamine 15 plus.  My knees used to make clicky noises going upstairs and people would turn and look at me (true story). Now I use these and my kness are fine. Ive been on them for years. I had no knee trouble on Kokoda at all.</p>

Somedays we only saw the other trekkers when we all stopped for a cuppa or some lunch as they were so far in front of us.Everyone just cruised at their own speed.It was no big deal.Peter.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I used a Deuter pack and found them to be excellent. I used a garbage bag rather than a dry sack. They work just as well. If you dont have high top boots then gaiters may be necessary, its a personnel choice really. I didnt use them though.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I agree with saloo.My large pack that I carried myself is able to carry the hydro bladder either inside or outside the pack. I chose to carry it outside in case it burst or leaked so it wouldnt get all my gear wet. Most smaller packs Ive seen have the place on the inside to carry the bladder.You definately must have one though.</p>
