Everything Brian says is correct.I'm sure you'd get a permit to walk it, but you'd need a guide to show the track. where are you staying and who are you trekkiing with ???The hotel you are staying with will probably have a bus to meet you at the airport, and the trekking company should pick you up at the hotel.Have you made any arrangements at all ??????

I was just going back over all our pics, and none of the porters used the waist straps. I always had mine done up and found it the best way to go. Its different strokes for different blokes.

I spent a bit of time in my youth hiking Yosemite and the John Muir trails in the USA through vast expanses of redwoods,that was something to see.

I read about the Lodden plains in an article by Dick Smith when He and his Wife trekked Frenchmans. Ive wanted to do it ever since I read it.I was at Cradle Mountain years ago and have wanted to go back ever since,but its hard to find the time to do everything you want.

I'd email National Parks or the local council to find out for sure.But if theres no built up area or industrial sites about it should be ok.But bomb it with puritabs anyway as you can never be too sure.How long before you leave on your trip ?

How big is your tent ?,,sounds like a circus tent if you can have a party in it and hold events.Maybe Im misunderstanding .
