Update 5th August: Trekkers got away a little later than expected this morning as one guy fell and hurt his leg on the steps of a win haus (traditional dwelling) and had to be taken to the hospital before they headed off.

I do not know which guy but heard they all got away as planned heading for Isurava where they would spend their second night.

I caught up with my sister this afternoon and would like to send out a BIG THANK YOU to every one involved. She had the most amazing experiance and i must admit i am a little bit envious. It is not often that you people describe their experiance on the Kokoda trail as challanging but enjoyable. i believe that with the right mindset and support the psycological can ease the physical and it seems that this was the case over the past week as the group laughed their way along the grulling track. To the guide and porters… thank you for looking after Jim Jim, and Dan! You are an amazing group of people, to those that employ them… you do a fantastic job of selecting your people.

"The peace of mind, happiness and energy of a soldier come from his feeling himself to be a member of a body solidly united for a single purpose" – Wilfred Trotter. Instincts of the Heard in Peace and War (1947)

Well done to you all. I could not recomend anyone more highly.
