We want to bring sealed food bars with us as I suppose everyone does e.g. energy foods, snacks, apricots, raisins etc. Do you know of any problems bringing them through customs?

MemberHi Gail
I have some exposure to a gluten free diet. I will be happy to discuss the issues of it with you when I am in town in a fortnight
Regards

MemberHi Gail
One of the reasons I booked through your company (and I did look at operations here in Australia that take guides up to PNG) was to get the real local "flavour". I am looking forward to meeting the locals!29/05/2005 at 2:08 pm #95271graeme

I went to a camping shop and it worked out it would cost $100 to buy enough tablets to purify water for 2 for 8 days29/05/2005 at 2:05 pm #95270graeme

MemberHi Gail
I am trekking 19 June and am wondering about an itinerary? Do we get one before we arrive in PNG or is it a day by day thing or ….?

MemberHi Cathy
I too am trekking in June (19th). The research I have done suggests anti-malarial tablest are a must as PNG is one of the hot spots in the world for malaria. Doxycyline or atovaquone (malarone) appears the most appropriate but am speaking with my GP on Wednesday.
