MemberWhen i walked in May (using the local food packs) it became a daily ritual for Shane and i to go through our ration packs at night and lighten our load for the next day. Gail and her team do a great job and the way they do the evening meal is magic. I have taken on this method when going bush. i don't think any trek will go short of food again, especially if now and then there is a tin of tuna with no ring pull or opener….lol… I defy anyone to eat all that tucker and survive!!!

MemberI have been using endura plus with the magnesium for a while and will be taking the sachets with me in two weeks. Its a bit more expensive than the 800 g "drums" but i think the ease of use will outweigh the cost. As a plus my bulk to carry will reduce each dose. The sachets only come in lemon/lime
and retail aroud $1.95. Should be able to reduce the cost the more you buy(boxes of 50) and i sourced mine from my local pharmacist . i dont know if they do all the claim to but if its a psychological boost then that works for me.Craig

MemberThanks both of you for your replies. My intention is to trek with your guys in 2010 Gail and was just trying to tie your schedule in with some trek notes i have. I realize that nothing is set in concrete as that would be unrealistic, as you said. Cheers.
