    Treks 1016 & 1017: another tough slippery day today for this group.

    They have now reached Ua'Ule Creek & it will be a 5 hour walk for them tomorrow so depending on what time they get away, they should walk under the archway at Owers' Cnr around 1:30pm.

    Tom Hango who was really sick right up to two days before the event with Malaria refused to pull out and headed off with the rest. He came home in 5th position overall.In Kokoda he asked for the next last dose of his Malaria tablets, what an effort!     maybe it was the bananas that did the trick – Brendan Buka stops at Efogi for a break and to fill up on bananas. Brendan wondered why Damon didnt stop to eat and thought he was running on empty.     Damon took a wrong turn and headed for Kagi the hardest route instead of going through Naduri.
