Hi Vince,No you are not required to bring cooking equipment as this is supplied if you are trekking with Kokoda Trekking.Yes there is a food drop at Efogi approximately the half way point. You would not be required to carry any more than 5kg in weight and the majority is carried by our food porters. Volume can vary.

Update: Have just received word from Airlines of PNG….our trekkers that flew out today Sunday 27th June have now landed at Kokoda.I kept it a surprise for them, but I have organised a SING SING for their arrival which should keep them occupied for awhile before they head off to Hoi Village where they will spend the night.
