Some trekkers bring with them purifying tablets and others drink straight from the streams, therefore it is an individual choice.When I trekked last November, I filled up from the creeks and did not get sick from the water.     Hi Nicole, you will start together and finish together in Kokoda. At this point the party will split and your group will fly back from Kokoda to Port Moresby and the others will travel by road down to Popondetta/Gona/Buna.

    Trek 62 & 83: Both these treks seem to have joined up and are currently spending the night at Efogi.
