MemberHi Anthea,
We have booked the Hideaway for the nights of the 16th and the 25th, so it looks like we will se you there, we are arriving about 2pm on the 16th so we will have to organise to catch up at some stage. We paid around what you paid as well and like you we found it was half the price of everywhere else.
Unfortunately we are in Melbourne, otherwise I would be up for a walk, keen to train as much as I can at the moment. Nervous about being fit enough but still a little while to go!
Look forward to meeting you,
Tegs

MemberHi Gail,
Thanks so much for all of that information, I think we will just be looking for somewhere to sleep that is safe and not too far from the Gateway, I will definitely investigate the Granville as well.
All your help is greatly appreciated.
Regards

MemberHi Anthea,
Myself and my brother are also booked onto the 492 trek in April and are staying in Port Moresby on the nights of the 16th and 25th of April.
We tried to get into the gateway but as I'm sure your aware its unfortunatly fully booked, our travel agents is recommending the Lamana hotel, but I was just wondering if you don't mind me asking how much is it costing you per night at the hideaway.
If its competitive we might book there as well.
Thanks

MemberThanks Gail and Brian,
I am trekking with KTL and very excited about it. Thanks for the info, I will organise to get the visa's here before we go, sounds like the better way to go.
Thanks again

MemberHi Dan,
I have been keeping up to date with this post for some time now and you should be congratulated for your efforts in preparing no doubt a huge number of people for this trek. I know I have taken lots of notes.
I would also like to thank you for making me aware of the great work that Gail and her team do for the PNG people although I'm not completely surprised, she seems very passionate. I will do what I can when I'm there next year.
I would love a copy of your DVD, hopefully you haven't been swamped but I will email you.
I was just wondering, do you have an opinion on getting visa's for PNG before travelling or just waiting until you get there?
Cheers,

MemberHi Waza,
Thanks for the feedback, good news, my brother has decided to come and we are booked for April. It is a bit of a relief for safety reason's but also it gives me someone to train with.
I would love some help with exactly what to take, I'm trying to get as much advice as possible and to be as prepared as possible, my big concern right now is training, I'm really worried that I won't be fit enough.
How did you go about being prepared?

MemberThank you for your quick responses, it has helped put my mind at ease. Hopefully I will be booking in, in the next couple of weeks and hopefully with my brother!
