MemberI did the treck in 2008 – saw 1 small snake – I just stopped and it slithered past – didn't take any notice of me – no problem.

MemberI did the Trek in 2008 with another firm. Had way too many trekkers (27) in the group. By the time you add the porters it was nearly 70 in the group. It was too big. If I went again I would choose a company with smaller groups.
I was 51 when I did the trek – had no problems.26/10/2010 at 10:02 am #105128Rooster
MemberI did the trek about 2 years ago & over half the trekkers in the group had Knee problems – mainly from going down the mountains. One of them had to be carried for the last 2 days.

MemberI drank about 6 litres of water a day – I also had a gastrolyte sachet in my drink at every break – morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea – I found they were great and I felt much better immediately after having them.

MemberI took two poles with me – they had trekking baskets on teh bottom to stop the poles from sinking into the mud too far. They went well – didn't have any issue with them. My porter made me a carved stick to bring home, but it got cracked in the luggage on the plane. I now have it mounted on my wall.
