Hey My partener and I used fingerless bike gloves with padded palm on the trek worked great, but ditched them at the end as they were pretty rank by the end.

Just completed trek wearing the wool undies and skins over them and then trek pants, undies dried quicker than anything else, but just get used to putting on wet clothes even if it is not raining.
