Hey FluppyWe are using the sea to sumit bags that have a roll top that make them water proof and you can push the air out. Not sure that you would want to use a device like you are thinking cause once you open the sealed bag how are you going to reseal it? you would not want to have to take the vacuum thing with you on the treck.Just a thought

we are using big hard case suit cases to transport our backpacks, this will also hold the stuff we want to leave behind.

My partner and I went to the cinema to see this and it was very Aussie no fairy tale ending, quite raw and honest cinematography. We both got quite emotional watching the movie and for quite awhile after when we spoke about it. A friend has bought me the Peter Fitzsimons book to read as well.
