Congratulations to all who participated in this trek, well done!

A special welcome home to Peter, glad you made it back at least half way home. Hope your injuries are not too serious and you are back bushwalking in no time. Now, don't do it again, promise.

    Love Jane

    Hi Gail,

Great job you are doing keeping us all informed with up to the minute information. Thank you very much. I'm in Perth, working at my workstation with your site up and keep checking for news of my brother. You are so right that he will have plenty of stories to tell of his LAST trip to the Kokoda Track. If the decision is to carry him out, then the memories of the Fuzzy Wuzzi Angels in WWII will have a new meaning. I have my fingers crossed all involved in this evacuation will be OK. Thanks again, Jane (Peter's sister)

HI Amanda, notice you are on at the moment. Have just phoned Judy and seems I know more than her at the moment, that the attempt this morning failed. Getting a little concerned but understand that it is so important to have safe air space before attempting to evacuate out. If you hear anything, would you let me know, Love Jane

Hi, just logged in after a 'lay day' and am reading though the message with dismay that you have had an injury to your knees. You need a medal for your efforts, Peter, and you gave it your best shot. Now you just have to get home safely. I will be watching for any news throughout the day and hopefully they will be able to get you out of there very soon. Hope you are OK, will attempt to ring Judy to find out more. Love Jane

I just want to firstly say Hi to Mitchell, what a great poem you wrote about your Dad, I had a few tears when I read it. I know he will love it when they read it out to him. He will be sitting by a campfire and his feet will be sore from walking all day but when he hears your poem he won't feel sore any more. You are a little champion and I love you.

Hi there trekkers, keeping 'track' of your whereabouts today and see you are almost halfway there. Lots of support from Oz which is great to see, read the blogs before I go to bed. Australia still doesn't have a feasible government, hope we don't follow the trend overseas and have to wait 6 months before we know. Love to all, Jane x.x.x.

Hi Peter, Leah and all the trekkers, tried to find you in the last photos but no luck, all had heads down and in climbing mode. Hi Sue, thanks for passing on the message to John and Sandra too, sorry I forgot to add them. Have the pics saved for posterity and have interested friends and family in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne wanting news of your trek too. Keep the photos coming in and all the news, Love Jane

They look happy and relaxed but the shoes are off the feet. Smoke in the valley, reminds me to cook my dinner too.

    Hi Trekkers,

The photos were fantastic. Saw you all and you all look really ready for your trek up the Kokoda. Peter, it's looks like your hair is trying to grow back, you have a shadow on your scalp. Amy and Shane, so glad you are on this trip with Leah and Isiah. Can't wait for more news of your trip up to Kokoda.

Hi Amanda and Mitchell and little Jack, great to see your names on the page.
