We are happy to announce that our two trekkers walked off the track around 11:30am today and are now relaxing at Sogeri Lodge until their flight tomorrow. Its now Sunday and trekkers are heading to Ule'Creek where they plan on spending the night. At this stage unless they push on to another campsite, they should arrive up at Owers' Corner the finish line around midday tomorrow.Everyone continues to do well and were on the move this morning around 7am when we got the first phone call.

A few drinks later and we were on the road heading for Port Moresby. We arrived in town at 10:45 and after a detour via the Air Niugini travel office, we drove them to the Crowne Plaza where they got their gear they left behind so they could head out to Loloata Dive Resort on the outskirts of Port Moresby.Turns out these guys were up here a month…[Read more]

Have now passed the half way point and at Agulogo/Menari area last night. Today they will pass through Naoro Village/Maguli Range area and head for home, this time being the finish line at Owers' Corner.Barrie_Young__s_trek__Small_.jpg

Stephen and Klaus have now passed the half way point and are heading for the finish line. Have not heard from them today but they should be now around the Agulogo/Menari area.

Have just got off the phone after talking with Brendan Buka the trek champion. He caught up with this group on his way back from Eora Creek around 8am this morning while they were at Isurava Memorial.He said everyone was ok and very happy. After spending the first night at Deniki trekkers walked on down to Eora Creek and tonight are at Naduri.
