    Shane called in via sat phone and advised that they were at Efogi and were heading to Naduri to spend the night. He said they all continued to do well and were enjoying their trek.

    Just heard from the track that the chopper is circulating overhead but due to cloud cover it may not be able to land. Will keep checking and advise if and when picked up.

    On their first night trekkers reached Ua'Ule Creek. Last night was spent at Banana Camp just short of Naoro. I spoke with Christopher and James McMillan this morning and everyone is enjoying their trek however John has decided its not in his best interest to continue so will fly out by chopper sometime today.     The guide for this trek is Christopher Talanoa who is the son of a retired bishop and who hails from Kokoda. Christopher is Russell Eroro's eldest sisters son. Walking the track is a nice change for him as for several months he has been driving a PMV (public motor vehicle) truck up and down the road from Kokoda to Popondetta starting work at 2am…[Read more]
