Thanks Ryan.Funny thing is, I'm an elite gymnast and also a blue-belt in martial arts, so you would think that I wouldn't get shin splints anymore – not so! Maybe I'm just weird lol!

Thanks Stewart. I was look at getting one to seal my clothes/other bits & pieces in my pack. Not just to keep them air/water tight but more so to save room in my pack for when I trek Kokoda.

Thanks. I have no shame whatsoever in admitting that I am absolutely clueless when it comes to trekking – especially a trek of such magnitude and reverance – which is why I am getting all the advice I can get.

I am in no way even contemplating carrying a pack!! I am 4ft 8" and only weigh about 45kg!! I am hiring a FULL porter, but I will still have to pack things in my pack – how will a porter carry my pack if I have no pack to carry

You can get cheaper versions of Crocs in places like Kmart, Big W, Target etc, but I'm not sure if they have good grip or not. I personally would not be willing to compromise quality for the sake of a few dollars – especially when out there where there are no second chances when it comes to boots!
