Wow! What an incredible story! Took me just over an hour to read it, but well worth the read! I know this trek was done many years ago now, but I always like reading people's accounts of their journey across the Kokoda Track. Very descriptive, easy to read. Love the bit about the snake lol! Also love the bit about how other trekkers helped…[Read more]

A Legend. Got that right. If anyone on here was fortunate enough to meet Stan and talk to him about his Kokoda experiences and about his brother 'Butch' Bissett, blessed were you to be able to do that. I am grateful that Stan was able to share his experiences and know that the men of Kokoda – himself included – were not – nor ever will be -…[Read more]

That sounds great Mike – sounds like a big task – but well worth the effort. I say go for it! biggrin.gif Also perhaps you could create your own anthology of poems – put them on your computer (if you haven't done so already), print them out & put them in a display folder with a cover page & a table of contents/index. You have so many that maybe you could…[Read more]

Saloo88 – thank you for bringing that to my attention. I had not considered the environmental impacts this would have. I guess burning them in the campfire would also be out of the question – as polystyrene emits toxic chemicals into the atmosphere when burnt…However, if KTL also provides them as part of the food ration packs, what to do then?…[Read more]
