Pacman, Have you and your friend done any training? Are you going with a reputable trekking company or guides? I hope you're not simply relying on Dr Google for advice….he's not always as accurate as he'd lead you to believe.

I agree with the others. I couldn't imagine doing Kokoda without a reputable group and/or with a kind of "just wing it on the day" thinking.
