thank you all excellent ideas. i was getting confused i guess as the hydro packs are little back packs & theerfore should be worn as such, but yes nothing stops me from inserting into or attaching to my pack as suggested.

i have not decided if the pack i already own is the "one", so I will go to a store & get a fitting and get some advice .
