Dear Patrick, Bill and Barbara
CONGRATULATIONS! Am I allowed to say "I'm proud of you" yet? Well… I am. I was very confident that you'd done the preparation and provided nothing went astray (healthwise), I knew that you'd make it. It's been a bit surreal for me to be able to keep track of your progress – just think, I've seen more photos of you over there than you have! The regular updates on where you had got to each day were great, so I could track it on the map. Hope the leeches stayed away from you and that your feet held up ok.
I can't wait to see you on Sunday. Don't forget to look for me in the arrival gate lounge in Sydney. Congratulations again on a fantastic achievement. I'm looking forward to hearing all of your stories. Enjoy the first dozen beers or so. Try to have a hot shower at some stage (though I'm sure you'll have your priorities in order).

I hope you are still going OK. I've been testing out my arms and legs (wriggling them) but I don't think Mummy can feel me very well yet (maybe sometimes). I know you have almost reached the highest point on the track – so only another day or so and it's mostly down hill (sounds good, doesn't it?)
I keep trying to convince Mummy to eat that massive chocolate Haigh's frog in the fridge but she thinks she should save it for you when you get home! Bye for now, Peanut

Aust 36 Def Canada 7 (Nathan Sharpe and David Lyons injured – SHarpe may be OK for the Quarter Final)
Fiji 38 Def Wales 34 – a FANTASTIC game – lead changed a few times and Fiji scored a try in the last 2-3 minutes to re-take the lead. Wales now OUT. Fiji to play Sth Africa in Quarter Final
Scotland 18 Def Italy 16 – Scotland through to Quarter Finals
Argentina play Ireland tonight to decide the top three out of France, Pumas and Shamrocks. Stephen Larkham still in doubt for the Quarter Final because not yet recovered from post-op knee infection.
Australia play England in Quarter Final next Saturday – maybe you can watch it in Port Moresby after a few beers and a Pizza?? Just don't miss your flight home on Sunday morning.
