Kokoda Fast Trek – Owers’ Cnr – Kokoda
Date: 19 October 2018 – 24 October 2018
PNG Guided.This trek has been designed so that you commence your trek on the 19th of October from Ower’s Corner and walk off the track in Kokoda on the 23rd of October where you will overnight. The following day 24th of October you will be flown back to Port Moresby. Trek 1140
Itinerary:
Day 1 – 19th October 2018: Owers’ Cnr to Ioribaiwa
Day 2 – 20th october 2018: Ioribaiwa to Menari
Day 3 – 21st October 2018: Menari to 1900/Myola Junction
Day 4 – 22nd October 2018: 1900/Myola Junction to Alola
Day 5 – 23rd October 2018: Alola to Kokoda
Day 6 – 24th October 2018: Popondetta to Port Moresby
Update 19th October 2018
Trek 1140: This fast trek got away early this morning and now find themselves at Ioribaiwa Village tonight. Trekkers are made up of: David Carter; and three last minute additions, Carol Cohen; Mark Swanepoel and Jack Martin. Guide for this trek is Gary Juary. Support staff: Ramsy Idau; Wayne Urina Tihimi; Cyprian Aire; Brendan Buka and Levi Juary.
Update 20th October 2018
Trek 1140: This trek has now reached Menari around 4pm this afternoon. All trekkers have done really well as they had a really big day having commenced their walk at Ioribaiwa Village this morning. Another big day ahead of them tomorrow as they head to Naduri Village. Trekkers on this trek include: David Carter; Carol Cohen; Mark Swanepoel and Jack Martin. Gary Juary is the guide. Other team members include: Ramsy Idau; Wayne Urina Tihimi; Cyprian Aire; Brendan Buka and Levi Juary.
Update 21st October 2018
Trek 1140: This group continues to power along reaching Naduri Village at 2pm this afternoon. Another big day awaits them tomorrow when they plan on reaching Alola for the night. On the 23rd October they will walk off the track. Apparently all good and trekkers and porters are all good. On this trek is a woman from the US who is carrying her own backpack and who booked at the last minute on the 18th. Another two guys from Australia also booked late 18th as well and headed off the next morning with David Carter who thought he was going to be a solo trekker.
Update 22nd October 2018
Trek 1140: Another big day for this group but at 5:30pm this afternoon they reached their destination of Alola Village for the night. Gray said everyone continues to do well and are looking forward to walking off the track tomorrow around 2pm.

Trek 1140: Congratulations to everyone who walked off the track this afternoon having successfully completed their ‘fast’ walk across the track. Well done from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking. At the present moment trekkers are heading to where they will spend the night before heading to Popondetta to catch their flight back to Port Moresby tomorrow morning.
