Kokoda Fast Trek – Owers’ Cnr – Kokoda
Date: 18 July 2018 – 23 July 2018
Kokoda Fast Trek. PNG Guided.This trek has been designed so that you commence your trek on the 18th of July from Ower’s Corner and walk off the track in Kokoda on the 22nd of July where you will overnight. The following day 23rd July you will be flown back to Port Moresby to end your trek. Trek 1124
Itinerary:
Day 1 – 18th July 2018: Owers’ Cnr to Ioribaiwa
Day 2 – 19th July 2018: Ioribaiwa to Menari
Day 3 – 20th July 2018: Menari to 1900/Myola Junction
Day 4 – 21st July 2018: 1900/Myola Junction to Alola
Day 5 – 22nd July 2018: Alola to Kokoda
Day 6 – 23rd July 2018: Kokoda to Port Moresby
Update 18th July 2018
Trek 1124: A lone trekker by the name of Barney Tomasich left Owers’ Corner around 8am this morning and is now at Ioribaiwa. He is on a fast trek and needs to walk off the track on the 22nd July. He was supposed to have another guy with him but sadly he had to pull out just a few days ago. Tonight he will share the campsite with our sub-contract company who also commenced today from Owers’ Corner and are in Ioribaiwa tonight.
Update 19th July 2018
Trek 1124: This trek is now at Menari having left Ioribaiwa early this morning. Tomorrow they head to Naduri so a super fast trek this one. Its being led by Ramsy Idau who won our last Kokoda Challenge Race. According to Ramsy, they are all ok despite the punishing pace.
Update 20th July 2018
Trek 1124: This trek is at Naduri tonight and tomorrow will head to Alola, another huge day! All are ok and continue to do well.
Update 21st July 2018
Trek 1124: Ramsy just called to say they have now reached Alola Village and tomorrow as planned they will walk off the track and into Kokoda. Ramsy estimates 1:30-2pm they will reach Kokoda. Tomorrow think of them walking from Alola and into Isurava Memorial before heading for the finish line in Kokoda. Barney must be nailing it as there was talk of continuing so he could attend the church service in Kokoda tomorrow following his successful trek.

Trek 1124: Congratulations to Barney and our Kokoda Trekking boys as they just crossed the finish line in Kokoda. A really tough challenge and you nailed it. Update 23rd July 2018
Trek 1123: Barney is now at the Jackson’s Airport in Port Moresby waiting to board his flight back to Australia. Thank you again Barney for choosing Kokoda Trekking.
