Update 6th May 2024
Trek 1206: This group are now at Ofi Creek. Tomorrow they will have a tough climb up Maguli Range followed by a walk through Nauro and will head on down to Agulogo for the night.
Update 7th May 2024
Trek 1206: The group stopped at an area referred to as ‘Banana Camp’ for their morning break and Clement sent me several photographs on his mobile phone which I have just uploaded. Apparently they will be stopping at Nauro Village for lunch before heading down to Agulogo for the night.
Update 8th May 2024
Trek 1206: Clement advised that they spent the night as planned at Agulogo and today were making their way to the half way point of Efogi Village. Earlier today he sent through some photographs with the caption: ‘Top of the Wall, going down to Manari for morning tea. We will be having our Lunch at Brigade Hill’. We are all going well.
Update 9th May 2024
Trek 1206: Clement informed me they had reached Efogi Village where they spent last night as planned. Today he said they are heading for ‘Bomber’s Camp’. Everyone is doing well it would seem and for our KTL boys, they are heading for home. Enjoy your day trek 1206.
Update 10th May 2024
Trek 1206: Think of our group today heading towards Templeton’s Crossing via Myola ridgeline track. All continue to do well having spent last night at Bomber’s Camp.
Update 11th May 2024
Trek 1206: As planned, the group were at Templeton’s Crossing last night and today are making their way to Isurava Memorial. Think of them as they make their way across Eora Creek, up through Alola Village before reaching their destination.
Update 12th May 2024
Trek 1206: I heard from the Clement that the group decided to push down to Isurava Village instead of Isurava Memorial for their last night before reaching Kokoda.
Everyone continues to do well and no doubt are looking forward to walking off the track sometime tomorrow.
