Update 10th May 2019

Trek 1129: Gary just called to say they have reached Ua’Ule Creek. They are all ok and are looking forward to tomorrow when their destination is Agulogo. Both ends of the track are dry at the moment.

Update 11th May 2019

Trek 1129: Walking in the opposite direction, this group are at Nauro Village. Apparently some big news today a local villager found a new ammunition site. The CEO of the KTA and a representative from the National Museum were in Ioribaiwa to check it out. Location is approx. a 10 minute walk in and the same back again off the track.

Update 12th May 2019

Trek 1129: Gary called this afternoon to say they were at Launumu (Efogi II). He said a tough day as they had a tough walk up Brigade Hill. Later they decided to pass through Efogi and head further up the track. Tomorrow they will head to Templeton’s Crossing. As it turned out they did not meet up with our other trek today but will do so now early tomorrow morning.

Update 14th May 2019

Trek 1129: Last night was spent at Templeton’s Crossing. At 11:30am they had arrived at Alola Village where they stopped by lunch. Gary just called a few minutes ago to say they are now at Isurave Village. This is their last night on the track. Tomorrow they will commence their walk around 6:30 and should walk out in Kokoda around midday. It would have been a highlight earlier today to walk into Isurava Memorial area.

Update 15th May 2019

Trek 1129: Congratulations are in order as this trek walked off the track in Kokoda earlier today. At the moment its relaxation time in Kokoda before heading to Popondetta tomorrow to fly back to Port Moresby. Well done from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking. Photographs for this trek will be posted once our camera arrives back in Port Moresby.
