Two young University Students came all the way from the United Kingdom (UK) to walk the Kokoda Trail. They, like many others have heard of the track and want to take up the challenging task of completing the 96 kilometre trail. They left today (10th March) for Kokoka on a separate trek with our Guide Eric Uwea. The youngsters arrived three days after the first seven trekkers now toughing it along the trail. All in all we have had ten trekkers out on the Kokoda Trail by now. All of them are quite new to the experience and we can't wait to get feedback at the end of the trek. Another Englishman arrives Friday for two days diving before heading back out with Russell for his 142nd trek. Russell will arrive back tomorrow afternoon with the three Japanese trekkers. A little behind schedule but should still make their Saturday afternoon flight back to Japan.

The first trekkers, four Australians including one female, one American and three Japanese including one female, headed out to Kokoda on the 7am flight Sunday 7th March.

On Sunday night they overnighted at Hoi Village and today they will make their way to Isurava. Our thanks to Air Niugini for arriving on time so we never had to go to plan 'b' and have to rethink how we were going to get our Japanese International Guests to Kokoda if they missed the Airlines of PNG, RPT service set down for the 7am departure.

We can't wait to see how the three Japanese went on the trek. On day two the group separated and became two separate treks.

    1. FAST TREK which will complete the trek in 6 days
    2. SLOW TREK – this trek will arrive back at Ower's Corner Monday 15th March
