MemberWe are pleased to announce that its CELEBRATION TIME at Russell Eroro's family block in Kokoda tonight following the successful trek of:
1. Triatheletes – all finished including a visually impaired man, this is a first for us and according to our two way radio contact, he was quite emotional at the finish line. Our guys were just so elated as well that all trekkers made it to their destination especially John Domandl who will go down in our history books.
2. Treks – 51-A, 51-B & 51-C also walked off the kokoda trail today and into the Kokoda Block where they too are celebrating their successful trek. All but one of them finished their trek due to exhaustion and dehydration.
We are also proud to announce that Walter Kelly our 81 year old veteran did himself proud when he too walked into the Kokoda Station today. He will go down in our history books as the oldest person ever to walk the whole of the Kokoda Trail from Ower's Corner to Kokoda to the best of our knowledge. Well done Walter
3. Trek 55-A & 55-B are also doing well and have requested a pickup at Ower's Corner tomorrow at midday…will keep you posted when I hear back from our pick up vehicle tomorrow.
A BIG THANK YOU must go to Russell's family for catering for this large group of people which including porters would be more than 150 people.
