MemberBoth treks have now reached Menari Village where they stopped for morning tea. According to Pat, everyone in both groups are doing well. Last night was spent at Agulogo and today they are heading to Naduri.

MemberReceived an updated message around 4pm from a very bubbly Lauren Bruce saying they had decided to stop at Efogi for the night and head up to Kagi tomorrow instead of going via Naduri.
She sounded very excited as she explained to me her day. Sounds like its tough but she is thoroughly enjoying herself out on the trail. They plan on starting quite early tomororw to get the climb out of the way before it gets too hot.
Tomorrow will therefore become a big day for this group.
Photograph below is one taken on a previous trek which shows the type of guesthouse they will be in tonight so you get a bit of a feel for Efogi.

MemberA big day today for trekkers – in fact a 10 hour day. They walked up to Kagi and then decided to head to Myola before ending up at Templeton's area for the night. Tomorrow plan a) is to end up at Isurava Memorial, plan b) is to head to Isurava Village. All trekkers continue to do well in both treks presently on the go.

MemberMy apology as I just realised I must have updated our facebook page and not this one.
Trekkers spent their last night on the track at Isurava Village and before that at the bottom of Mt Bellamy.

MemberCongratulations are in order for both treks as they successfully completed their walk across the Kokoda Trail and walked through the archway in Kokoda yesterday. Last night was spent at our base Orohaven and this morning all but 3 of them will make their way back to Port Moresby. The 3 staying back will head to Sanananda before returning on the morning of the 22nd May to Port Moresby. I spoke to Pat yesterday and at the time they were all getting ready for some chicken curry and pizza's to celebrate their walk. Well done everyone from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking. Just imagine how they were all feeling yesterday as they made their way to the finish line and under the archway.
