Trek 172 – led by Tony Ogemeni: Trek 172 left as planned on the 8th July. Trekkers had an early start and were taken via the Bomana War Cemetery on the way out to Ower's Corner for the start of their trek.

My apologies for not posting this photograph earlier as we changed over internet providers and I only got connected again yesterday after a very frustrating past few days.

    Trekkers are as follows:

Adrian Dodd; Steve Wilcox; Tim Benstead; Scott Mudge; Shane Creece; Mark Elliott; Wayne Gould; Janine Anderson; Laurie Hammond; Nicole Hammond; Ian Harrison; Greig Horman; Clancy Horman; Peter Elias; Scott Younes; Sash Cetkoski; Louise Mancinelli and Desmond Davis.

Trekkers spent last night at Efogi and all are going well and will spend the night at Myola Junction.

Trek 200: This is a mixed group with some trekkers booked through Pam Christie and three booked through us. Kevin Wallace, Christine Eisler and David Hill met on Saturday night with their other fellow trekkers and enjoyed a meal at the Airways Hotel poolside restaurant.

The following morning they are seen here at Jackson's Airport shortly before their flight to Kokoda.

When some of our trekkers heading in the opposite way passed them, they said they were all dong just great after the climb up test mountain.

Trek 226: Earlier this week I met up with Terry Smith, Charles Noble, Bill Ruttledge, Christopher Smart, Roger Worms, Ian Neely, Paul Field and Anthony Ashworth who couldnt draw themselves away from the Rugby Union match for their trek briefing.

However we did make contact and they seemed a great bunch of guys despite our aussies loosing the footy match.

One of our treks passed this group on their way down to Kokoda and took a photograph of the group on the track itself.

Trek 233: Two brothers, a mate and a young 8 year old boy took to the Kokoda Track on the 8th July. One guy was forced to retire at Uberi but the last feedback we had was that they had caught up to trek 172 and they they had all reached Efogi and were doing just fine.

I must say I had my doubts when Tim mentioned his son wanting to walk Kokoda but after meeting him, I was quite confident he would do ok.

Trek 215: Three trekkers arrived mid afternoon on the 8th July and immediately headed out to Bomana War Cemetery and then a late start at Ower's Corner. This trek is led by John Derrick Eroro who is definitely saving his sat phone battery as he has not phoned in as yet.

Trekkers are – not necessarily in order of appearance below:

Roy Pereira; Michael Misson & Adam Worling
