Well done GIRLS, the 6 day trekkers now have some competition both on the track and on the website!

From the way John spoke he is going to MAKE THEM have a short trek tomorrow and they will only be going from Efogi to Menari…..well that is what he told ME…..

We will just have to wait and see otherwise Michael will have them as guests sooner than he expected if they keep up this pace! Perhaps they plan on racing the 6 day trekkers all the way to Owers' Corner…….perhaps a 'male' thing!

Or is it the guides, the master and the apprentice. John has done over 400 + treks and Andrew, well by comparison he is the new kid on the block! but hey John has not received a lap top computer as a gift but Andrew has…..

Plus on one occasion a guy fell into a creek, Andrew went in straight after him and pulled him out. Back in Port Moresby, he asked Andrew what he would like as a present, his answer a bible….the guy went back and sent him about 30 bibles as he truly felt Andrew saved his life….after that we never saw Andrew for 12 months as he went preaching all over the country finally ending up back home in Kokoda and for two years now back out on the track.

Tomorrow I suspect they will get a sleep in and kick off a bit later in the day, that is unless they have decided per my previous post, to keep up with the other group.

After a few hours walk they will end up in the village of Menari:

    Hi Rusty
We all hope that you (and your muscly calves) are surviving! Well done boys – we are all very proud and can't wait to see you next Monday. Checking the website many times a day.
Toowoomba was freezing – sleeting – play was delayed. Tahnee's team won 3 out of 7 in Div 1.
    Go Queensland!!
    Luv U heaps

Russell and Jim we have all been following your adventures. Ed wants to know if you need him to send in a chopper to airlift you out? Karen said 300 desktops have arrived, where are they meant to go? Bad news on your replacement he won't be starting for another month. You don't mind Jim do you?

    Replies from the track:

Message 1: Penelope was easy, love Jim

They tried to send more messages but I could not hear them due to battery problems. They did receive all YOUR messages however and they were cheering and yelling in the background!!!

After I read out each one….I would say…..are you there, did you hear me…..then I would hear all of them yelling out….then I would read out the next….and so on!!!

They are still on track for a 9 day trek and have slowed down or John HAS SLOWED THEM DOWN!!!

They are spending the night at Menari. I think it was WAZZA who came on and said the boys are giving them a 1000% effort and they all appear to be lapping it all up.

Watch out GIRLS, when they get home they will be used to being SPOILT!!!
