MemberTrekkers had an early start on the 7th June when they needed to be at the airport to book in by 6am for their flight to Popondetta. On arrival they were met by our staff and taken to the Popondetta War Museum before making their way up to Pija Village for a warm traditional welcome and a dip in their creek. Trekkers include :

MemberThis morning I received a sat phone call from Clement to say they reached the half way point of Efogi yesterday where they spent last night. Today the plan is to head to Agulogo but not before climbing up to Brigade Hill; then through the village of Menari – crossing over brown river. By the time they reach their destination they will have done a hard day's walk and no doubt looking forward to a good nights sleep before another day awaits them and similar terrain the next day.
Everyone is ok and doing well and enjoying their trek.

MemberTrekkers are enjoying themselves as they move closer to the finish line. Tonight sees them at Agulogo campsite. Request from our boys, can we please spend one extra day in Port Moresby before you fly us back home! Their wish has been granted. They will walk off the track on Sunday and will fly back on Tuesday to Popondetta. It seems all trekkers and porters are doing well which is good news. Track is dry with hardly any other companies out there so making good time as they move along heading for the finish line.

MemberThis group are now at Ioribaiwa Village for the night. I spoke to Paul Ross and he said they were all thoroughly enjoying their experience and looking forward to a few beers at the end. At the moment its a dry track and no rain around so all making good progress as they work their way to Owers' Corner.

MemberCongratulations are in order for this group of trekkers as they walked off the track yesterday under the archway at Owers' Corner. Earlier this morning they were picked up and driven back to Port Moresby via Bomana War Cemetery. Well done everyone from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking.
