Trek 991 – Trek Completed

Firstly my apology as I travelled up the day after this trek commenced and after so many months out of country I still had to get the internet connected and so on which meant I could not post as I normally do.

This trek commenced in Kokoda on the 2nd April and will finish tomorrow 7th April at Ower's Corner. Trekkers in this group include :

As I type this the group are powering along to Goldie River where they will spend the night and will walk off the track tomorrow and under the archway at Owers' Corner.

Sadly Luke did not get to finish as he got sick and was airlifted off the track out of Dump 1. Dropping him off at the airport earlier today he said he has unfinished business and plans to be back someday to walk it again.

The only photograph I have on hand at the moment is one taken by one of our guides by the name of Ivan using his mobile phone at the Kokoda Archway. I will post photographs tomorrow.

I got to meet this group today when they came in off the track. All were very happy to have completed their trek and loved the company of the boys along the way.
