Trek 989: This group are now at Ofi Creek for the night. Tomorrow the plan is to head to Agulogo. Everyone is doing ok at this point of time. They had a short day yesterday from Owers' Cnr down to Goodwater. Due to Air Sanga's plane requiring maintenance, we had to fly in 7 more boys to walk in the Efogi drop off food. These boys were met at the airport this morning and driven straight out to Owers' to walk in to catch up with this group. Wayne advised they are now all together at Ofi Creek.

MemberThis group spent last night at Kagi and today headed to Bomber's Camp for the night. According to Wayne their guide, everyone is doing well.
Earlier today they crossed paths with our trek heading in the opposite direction and I was informed at that point they were all going strong.
Tomorrow the group will head down to Eora Creek for the night plan a) or Alola, plan b).

MemberThe majority of trekkers are at Eora Creek but one of the group Emile has broken away and headed to Alola Village for the night with two of our staff as she is flying out of Popondetta one day ahead of the main group. According to Wayne, trekkers are doing ok and settled in for the night at Eora Creek. Tomorrow the main group will head to Isurava Village and Emile will walk off the track into Kokoda to overnight.

MemberMy apology for not being able to update until now but our internet went down and only came back online this afternoon.
Congratulations to everyone on this trek as they walked off in Kokoda yesterday and were met by our transport provided and driven down to Pija Village.
At Pija they welcomed by family members before enjoying some refreshments and a dip in their creek. Last night the people living there cooked them a traditional mumu.
This morning they were driven to Girua airport and arrived back in Port Moresby around 8:30am this morning.
With the exception of one, all trekkers flew out this afternoon back home.
I have just posted photographs taken which can be viewed by clicking here:
