Trek 982 – Trek Completed

[Boss Meri]

This trek commenced on the 13th September and spent their first night at Goodwater. The following night was at Ofi Creek and tonight they are at Menari Village for the night. Trekkers on this trek are made up of a father/daughter team:

Walking with this group is their guide Eric Uwea along with personal porters Jerry Imaita; Tom Hango and food porters Roget Hango and Stephen Powi.

After arriving at Owers' Corner they each met their personal porters, Jerry Imaita and Tom Hango or as he prefers these days, Tom Hanks.

Trekkers had a short day today from Menari to Efogi the half way point. They would have had a tough walk up Brigade Hill before heading down to Efogi.

Trekkers continue to do well.

Eric and his trekkers are camped for the night at 1900. Today they spent a fair bit of time hanging out with the other trekkers in the big group trek 959 but broke away this afternoon and headed off on their own.

Tomorrow both groups plan on being at Eora Creek for the night. Father and Daughter continue to do well.

This trek along with another of our treks 959 are spending the night at Eora Creek. According to Eric both his trekkers continue to do well and tomorrow are looking forward to Isurava Memorial and their last night on the track.

Eric and his trekkers have now reached the creek down from Isurava Village. Trekkers continue to do well and are looking forward to walking off the track tomorrow.

Earlier today they walked up through Alola Village before continuing on to Isurava Memorial area. This was followed by a walk to Isurava Village and then slightly further on where they stopped for the night.

Congratulations to Steven and Jade Loffman (father and daughter) for successfully completing their walk across the track. Both trekkers walked off the track earlier today and at the moment are relaxing at our base in Kokoda, Orohaven Kokoda Retreat.
