MemberNot too long after, we bid them farewell as they disappeared down the hill.
The destination for today was Ua'Ule Creek. Their guide is Eric Uwea and he called to say they arrived there around 3pm this afternoon. Tomorrow they are going to head to Ofi Creek for the night.

MemberThis trek reached Ua'Ule Creek around 1:30pm this afternoon. Everyone is doing well and enjoying their trek. Tonight they are sharing with one other trekking company. Today they saw rain and it was quite slippery. The plan tomorrow is to head to Menari for the night.

MemberTrekkers have now reached Menari Village and tomorrow will head to Efogi II for the night. A long day today with Eric and one trekker arriving last around 6pm. The guys had me searching the internet looking for footy scores! Eric only mentioned AFL but when they called back they wanted NRL and World Cup. It must be killing them out there without their beloved footy. They all sounded disappointed when they heard who won the AFL games. Everyone is doing ok and looking forward to another day.

MemberThis trek reached Efogi II around 3pm this afternoon. Eric when he called said they have run into their share of rain but not too heavy. Today they are on their own where they are camping for the night but three trekking companies walked past them in the opposite direction during the day. Trekkers continue to do well.

MemberLast night trekkers spent the night at Templeton's Crossing II. This afternoon Eric called to say they had reached Isurava Memorial where they are spending the night.
Tomorrow they will walk off the track in Kokoda around midday.
I spoke to one of the trekkers and told him the World Cup finalists along with the State of Origin result from last night.
They seemed to be travelling ok and no doubt looking forward to reaching the finish line tomorrow and getting away from the mud they have experienced along the track.
