The road showed today that there had been some rainfall as it was slippery in places and also muddy especially around Vesulogo Village. As a result we did not drive right to the bottom of Owers' Corner but dropped off at the top.

The guide for this trek is Ivan Semie. This is his first trek as a guide so I am sure he will be trying to do his best as if there was an award for the best porter of the year based on trekker feedback Ivan would have to be the winner.

He has been looking forward to this trek very much, good luck Ivan and all the best to your trekkers.

Tonight Ivan called to say they had fun crossing over the flooded Goldie River and have stopped for the night at Goodwater Campsite area. All trekkers are ok and doing well.

Trekker have now reached Ioribaiwa. Ivan phoned around 6:30pm and said its a wet track and quite slippery so they are taking their time. Tomorrow they plan to head to Agulogo. Everyone in the group continues to do well and are enjoying themselves.

Trekkers have now reached Naoro Village. Sarah had a tough day today and got into the village around 7:30pm and has already gone to bed. Other trekkers are ok and looking forward to tomorrow.

This group have now reached Efogi the half way point where they are tucked in for the night. Its now a group of 6 as Sarah was flown out this morning from Naoro Village and is now back in Australia.

All other trekkers continue to do well considering today would have been a big day for them walking from Naoro to Efogi in one day. This was necessary due to the large sized groups on the track at the moment and the fact they only got to Naoro last night instead of Agulogo.

Ivan assured me that everyone is doing well. Tomorrow the plan is to stop at 1900/Myola Junction unless something changes.

Another big day today as this trek left Efogi early this morning and headed up to Kagi and are now at 1900/Myola Junction where they have settled in for the night. It still remains wet with a lot of rain about but Ivan assures me everyone continues to do well. Tomorrow they are aiming to make Eora Creek.
