MemberTwo treks flew over to Popondetta on the same aircraft and although they commenced their walk at different times, they are both now camped together at an area commonly referred to as 'Dump 1' at the foot of Mt Bellamy the highest point on the track.
Clement phoned and said they spent the night at Isurava Monument area and caught the other group around 4:30 this afternoon. Tomorrow they should reach the half way point of Efogi. Earlier today they would have walked across the cane bridge in the photograph below:

MemberThis trek is now at the half way point of Efogi where they have settled in for the night.
Tomorrow they will cross paths with two of our other treks heading in the opposite direction.
At this point in time there will be Kokoda Trekking uniforms and trekkers spread out across several overnight spots along the track.
One group is at Naoro. Another group is a little further down at Agulogo. The trek that started out the same day as this group have reached Menari.
Tomorrow there will no doubt be a few handshakes along the way as trekkers and porters meet up with each other and possibly share some stories.

MemberThis trek is now at Agulogo camped next to the river. Clement called in earlier today and said trekkers and porters are happy and enjoying their trek.
Earlier today they passed by our two other treks on the go heading in the opposite direction.

Well done guys from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking. Picture how they would have felt today walking under the archway at Owers' Corner.
