Trek 925 got underway yesterday and made their way out to Owers' Corner after stopping at Bomana War Cemetery. Approx 8:30am they commenced their descent down to Goldie River. The guide on this trek is Horace Yauga who decided to give them a short day and a decision was made to stop at Goodwater for the night. Trekkers in this group include :

      [*]Graham Sears
      [*]Tony Stevenson
      [*]Darren Zeller
      [*]Carly Moore
      [*]Heather Murphy
      [*]Christopher Cornish

Tonight they are spending the night at Ofi Creek. We apologise for no photographs as my staff member in Port Moresby had to stay back to meet the 9 trekkers arriving in from Popondetta. He sent a camera out with the driver of the bus but he took off before getting the memory card from our guide. Will post photographs when trekkers return from their walk.

The guide on this trek is Horace Yauga who called from Maguli Range this morning to say they were all going ok and that they would have morning tea at Naoro and lunch at Agulogo before moving on to Menari for the night.

Apparently Chris now has a porter to help him with his backpack which is Sione.

Picture trekkers today as they left Menari this morning and when I heard from Horace their guide, they were at Brigade Hill. Lunch was going to be at Efogi and all going well they hoped to reach Kagi around 3pm where they will rest for the night. The group are moving along really well and looking forward to their day.

Trekkers have now reached Templeton's Cross II. This morning they left Kagi and made their way to Myola and Bomber's area before reaching their destination for tonight. Tomorrow the plan is to reach Isurava Memorial Area. Horace said they are all doing well.

Trekkers have now reached Isurava Memorial where they are spending the night. Everyone continues to do well, are happy and looking forward to tomorrow being their last day on the track. The plan is to pull up at Hoi for the night.

Picture them today walking from Templeton's II to Eora Creek; crossing the cane bridge below; the walk up to Alola Village and the thrill later in the afternoon around 2pm of turning the corner and seeing Isurava Memorial and the fantastic views. An emotional feeling along with the wow factor of an amazing place on the track.

This trek has now arrived at Hoi Village where they have settled in for the night. Tomorrow they will walk off the track into Kokoda around 10am.

More than likely they spent part of the afternoon relaxing in the creek like past trekkers enjoying a refreshing dip.

Trekkers commenced their walk this morning around 7am and walked under the archway in Kokoda at 8:30am. Congratulations and well done everyone from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking. As I type, trekkers are on their way down to our base 'Orohaven' situated adjacent to the airstrip in Kokoda.

Thanks for choosing to walk with us.
