This trek got underway when they flew over to Kokoda on the 23rd April. Shortly after arriving in Kokoda they commenced their walk up to the Kokoda Station to have a look around the war museum then under the Kokoda Archway and on to the track.

Their first night was spent at Hoi Village.

Yesterday the plan was to walk to Isurava Memorial area and set up camp in readiness of the Anzac service held there today.

This went acording to plan and the group arrived mid afternoon.

According to Ernst Jinga their guide, the area soon filled up with other trekkers as they all awaited today's Anzac Day service.

Trekkers in this group include :

      [*]Jason Bailey
      [*]Robert Cordwell
      [*]Garry Cook
      [*]Chris Cordwell

Trekkers spent the morning as planned at Isurava Memorial grounds and attended the Anzac Day service there before moving off to Eora Creek/Templeton's Crossing area. Tomorrow they will head to 1900/Myola Junction. Whilst at Bomana War Cemetery this morning a helicopter flew over and someone remarked it was heading to Isurava.

Ernst phoned in this morning to say they were about to move off from 1900/Myola Junction around 7am and head to first to the village below of Naduri before their final destination of the day being Efogi. He said last night it poured with rain but this morning is fine. He stated these guys are quite fit and it should only take them around 4 hours to reach Efogi.

Ernst called this morning to say they will have a walk today of approx 7 hours as they plan on reaching Agulogo for the night. At the time I spoke with him they were just about to walk off from Efogi. Everyone is still ok and enjoying their trek.

Trekkers have a big day today. Early this morning they left Agulogo for a climb up to Naoro Village before tackling Maguli Range and down to Ofi Creek.

Ernst phoned in to say the plan is to continue walking until they reach Ioribaiwa Village sometime this afternoon where they will set up camp for the night.

Tomorrow they will walk down to Goldie River for their last night on the track.
