Trekkers got away on time yesterday and spent last night at Ua'Ule Creek.

Today, trekkers arrived at Ofi Creek around 3pm. When Ernst Jinga contacted me the trekkers were down in the creek having their wash. Its been a wet slippery track up to this point but everyone continues to do well.

Just got off the phone after talking with Ernst Jinga. He said today they decided to push on to Menari as his trekkers were doing great and he decided that by doing this, they could walk up to Kagi tomorrow afternoon avoiding the heat of the day should they overnight at Efogi.

He said lots of mud around and quite a bit of traffic on the track in both directions. However, due to a smaller number of trekkers they are moving along quite well.

Earlier today they walked up Maguli Range and through the village of Naoro.

This group have now reached Kagi Village where they have settled in for the night. Ernst said it was a tough day but his trekkers responded to the challenge and they all did well. He mentioned it was quite slippery. Photographs below are of two aussies who entered our Kokoda Challenge race in 2012. Jonathan below shows the strain on his face after arriving in Kagi. In 2014 Jonathan finished in the top 5 in the North Face 100km race in the blue mountains.

Trekkers have now reached Templeton's Crossing after a big day. They are all still doing great and tomorrow they will head to Eora Creek for the night unless they decide to push on to Alola.

Another good day for this group as the worked their way along the track to reach their destination of Eora Creek where they are spending the night. Tomorrow the plan is to stop at Isurava.

    Everyone continues to do well.

This trek is spending their last night on the track at Isurava Memorial area. I spoke with Julie today and she said this trek was totally different to her last and she has thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
