This trek is being led by Harold Hauro from Kokoda. Our KTL boys flew in from Popondetta yesterday and met up with their trekkers yesterday, took them out to Bomana War Cemetery and the Yacht Club before turning in for the night At 6:10am this morning I was advised that the bus we had hired was at out base to pick up the boys and a short time later the trekkers were on their way to Owers' Corner for the commencement of their walk. The plan for today is to reach Ioribaiwa Village. Trekkers in this group include :

      [*]Danny Rutherford
      [*]Liam Nevin
      [*]Leo Tisdell

Our KTL boys on this trek include : Gary Juary; Tony Ogonemi; Johnsford Eroro; Jackie Isorosi; Grayford Enjeka; Jerry Imaita; Gary (Sairope)

Trekkers have now reached Kagi Village where they are spending the night. Tomorrow they will head down to Templeton's Crossing. The photograph below is of Richard Mountstephens from Sydney who entered our Kokoda Challenge Race in 2012. He can be seen here running through Kagi Village. The photograph will give you an idea of where your loved ones will be staying tonight.

Congratulations are in order as trekkers walked off this afternoon in Kokoda and arrived down at Orohaven around 5:30pm. It seems they reached Deniki and instead of staying there, according to their guide Harold Hauro, a decision was made to continue walking and reach Kokoda. Well done guys from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking!

Picture them as they would have walked through the Kokoda Archway this afternoon.
