Trek 85
They just arrived up at Imita Ridge, and now slowly making their way down to Ua-ule creek, where they will camp for the night.?We are all going well, the trekkers are doing terrific, they are moving fast that is why we are up here quickly.? Said the groups guide Isaac.
So that's good news, seems like the trekkers are doing pretty good out there on the first day, that's excellent.
He also said that, he might not give us call later on this evening, due to their location, they are in lower grounds, which means, if he calls us on the two-way-radio, the radio will not transmit well and we won?t be able get a clear reception. But he said, first thing tomorow morning when they reach higher grounds he will calls us and informs us on their progress.
Otherwise, all is well and the weather looks good.
Seen here, trekkers trying to settle in the guest-house at Ua-ule creek.

After spending the last two nights at both villages, New Nauro and Menari, the group was up by 7am this morning to kick start their forth day of walk.Their guide Isaac called on the two-way-radio, and this is what he said;
?All trekkers are ok, enjoying the walk and having a good time. No injuries or problems, everyone seems to be performing really well. We are now up at Brigade Hill, some trekkers are taking pictures while others are relaxing and enjoying the great view from the top.
The weather is all good at this end, I don?t know where we?ll be seeing the bad side of the weather, but at this time and since we started, it?s been all good.?The group will camp at Efogi 1 village tonight and from there, will move to their next destination when tomorrow comes. It seems all are doing well, so that?s good news.
Trekker Tom Polley Jnr, enjoying the great view from top of Brigade Hill.

The group arrived in Efogi as early as 1:30pm ? 2:pm in the afternoon, which gave the trekkers enough time to have a good wash in the creek and also go for a stroll in the village and have a good look around. All trekkers did ok, they are all fine having a ball of a time.
Tony & Pete send this
"Thanks for the message, we're doing fine and weathers good too."When there's alot of trekking companys out on the trail at a particular time or day, guest-houses are usually full and trekkers tend to set up tents outside. And this is how it looks like, this picture was taken during the Anzac Day early April at Efogi 1 village.

Everyone experienced a few drizzles along the way. Light showers today, but not most of the way.
"Not bad really, everyone's coping well with the walk and the weather. The track conditions is okay, not slippery and the trekkers are also coping well with that," reported Isaac – the guide.
Isaac was up at Naduri Lookout – the only place where he could get a clear reception – when he radioed base here in Port Moresby.
He said most of the trekkers were ahead, now ambling down toward Myola junction – where they will spend the night under the cooler canopy of Myola juntion.
It will be hard to make contact from now on untill tomorrow after they have left Myola and reach the tip of Mt Bellamy.
Sorry Leila and Saal I was unable pass your messages at this stage as Tony and Brendan had already gone ahead of Isaac and towards the next campsite. However, I told him to inform the guys that they have messages when he reached them at the campsite. I'm sure they will be happy and will be looking foward to recieving these messages tommorrow. (Might take some time to climb up to Bellamy which the highest point along the track – almost 3,000 metres – so will need a little bit of patience from you)
Until then….. <img src="http://developer2/board/upload/style_emoticons//smile.gif” style=”vertical-align:middle” emoid=”:)” border=”0″ alt=”smile.gif” />

Despite the tough start this morning from their campsite Myola Junction up to Kokoda Gap or better known as Mt Bellamy, all trekkers did utterly well, and made it to the peak without injuries or problems. They all did remarkably well, and are all fine looking fit, healthy and can?t wait to reach their next campsite, Eora Creek, which they will be heading towards shortly.
For now, the group will rest at the top of Mt Bellamy and soon after that will proceed down to Templeton?s Crossing 1 and continue on from there. It?s a bit cloudy at this time, but no sign of rain, hopefully it will stay like that till afternoon falls or when they get to their campsite.
Other then that, all is well, and everyone?s doing fantastic.

?Thank you very much for the message.?Brendan Smith
?Thank you very much for the message and looking forward to seeing you all next week.?From top of Mt Bellamy, you can clearly see Kokoda…Shows that this group is not so far from Kokoda, just two more nights and they're out.

The group just arrived in Isurava Village; they will over-night there and tomorrow will proceed down to Kokoda. Yes! KO?KO?DA?one more night, and wa..la?they?re out.Today the weather did not look pleasing at all for the trekkers, it was pouring rain, the whole track was slippery and covered with mud, there was so much turns to do, ups and downs ect? Over all, it was a pretty touch day for this lot, but despite that, with the good help from the porters and guide, the trekkers did absolutely terrific, they maneuvered the track well, with good care and with great help, and finally they all made it to Isurava.
All trekkers are fine and well, still looking good and very much happy and excited that, they?ve finally and almost come to the end of their trail journey.
And they should be, surely they have come very along way and they deserve to be happy and excited about their successful walk so far, so well done to you all.At the moment, they are setting up their tents and getting ready for the eveving meal.

The group completed their trek this morning and is now at Kokoda relaxing after doing some 5 – 6 hours walk out from Isurava village where they last camped for the night. All trekkers are ok, did well, maneuvered all the slopes with good care and made it out safely in one peace.
They were welcomed by a traditional dancing group form Kokoda at Russell's family block, including lunch refreshments, which surprised all trekkers and they loved it.Trekkers are now taking a nice cool bath in the creek. If there?s enough strength, who knows they might take a leisurely walk around the station and have a look around.
Otherwise, they are all happy and overjoyed with excitement, for completing their trek successfully and even so, making it out alive, safely and in one peace.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE TREKKERS & WELL DONE.
The welcoming singsing group at Russell's family block.
