Boss Meri
MemberTrekkers were picked up from Sogeri Lodge early this morning and driven out to Owers' Corner for the commencement of their trek. All trekkers looked eager and ready to go.
This group is made up of a father and son combination, a guy trekking on his own and two guys from Brisbane.
- Ian and Andrew Lloyd
- Adrian Pumfrey
- Josh Hodgkinson
- Nathan Spitalnic
Trekkers are walking with Shane Thomas as their guide along with Clement Harika; Ramsi Idau; Evan Myosi; Samson Joheri; Duggie Eroro; Eric Uwea; Sione Orasambo; Lenny and Slimmy Enjeka.

MemberAt Owers' Corner we were in for a shock today as the grass huts used for shade and preparation before heading out on the track had been burnt down. Trekkers then headed for the area below to keep out of the sun.

MemberWhilst trekkers waited patiently our staff were busily trying to attach their own belongings to their trekkers packs.

MemberShane called in around 2pm to say they were at Imita Ridge and were about to head down to Ua'Ule Creek where they planned on spending the night.
All trekkers are doing well.

MemberJust got off the phone after talking with Shane re trek 843. They have reached Ofi Creek where they will be spending the night. Everyone continues to do well.

MemberTrekkers have now reached the half way point of Efogi where they are spending the night. All trekkers are doing just great according to Shane.

MemberShane phoned in to say they are now at Templeton's I. Both trekkers and porters are ok. Tomorrow plan a) is to reach Alola. Plan b) is Isurava. Monday they will all walk off the track.

MemberTrekkers walked off the track into Kokoda as planned around midday yesterday and spent the afternoon enjoying a few drinks in our Wantok bar. This morning I met up with them when they arrived in from Popondetta.
At the present time they are relaxing at Loloata Dive Resort.
