Trekkers have now reached the half way point of Efogi where they are spending the night. Last night was spent at Agulogo and today they had a tough climb up to Brigade Hill before heading down to Efogi.

Efogi Village.jpgHorace called in today to report that last night they were at 1900/Myola Junction and today they were on the go heading to Eora Creek. Everyone is doing just great it seems! Lionel is now looking forward to turning back as per the plan and walking back to Port Moresby commencing on the 18th June. He has asked that a porter by the name of Charlie walk back with him as he has been a big help to him. Go trek 839, you are almost home!

IMG_0163 800×600.jpgTrekkers reached their destination of Isurava Village around 2pm today. Tomorrow they will walk off the trek into Kokoda. Horace mentioned today that they are even more excited now to know tomorrow they will have achieved their dream of walking the track.
