Last night trekkers spent at Ua'Ule Creek and today reached Ofi Creek. Two guys sang out for a porter each so two more boys are now on the track with this group.

MemberTrekkers have now reached Alola Village where they are spending the night. Wayne apologised for not getting in touch with me yesterday due to heavy rain. Rivers in the Oro Province were flooded yesterday so a decision was made for them to walk off the track tomorrow into Kokoda, 1 day ahead of schedule to make sure they do not miss their flight back to Port Moresby on Thursday morning. All trekkers continue to do well.

MemberCongratulations are in order for this trek as they walked off the track today one day ahead of schedule and through the Kokoda Archway (photograph below). I just spoke to Michael and he said everyone is very happy and they all enjoyed their trek.
Tonight they are at our base in Kokoda at Orohaven Kokoda Retreat. Tomorrow they will travel down to Popondetta by road and will spend the night at a guesthouse in the Popondetta area before boarding their flight back to Port Moresby on Thursday morning.

MemberTrekkers left Kokoda this morning to drive down to Popondetta. They stopped a couple of places along the way and at one point, our boys climbed a tree and got some coconuts for them all to share. On arrival in Popondetta they did some shopping, checked out the local monument memorial area before driving out to a guesthouse area to sleep the night in readiness for their flight to Port Moresby tomorrow morning. I just got off the phone after speaking to Michael and he said they were all enjoying themselves and the hospitality shown to them by the guesthouse owners. I asked about Helena and was advised she was out in the lead all throughout the trek and was the first person to cross the finish line in Kokoda yesterday!
