On Tuesday 11th September a group of 5 trekkers left Owers' Corner which include :

[*]Peter O'NeillI met up with all five of the trekkers before they headed out on the track and they were very excited that they were finally here and about to embark on their Kokoda Track experience.

The team 640×480.jpgTrekkers had a tough day yesterday as they made their way up to Naoro where they spent the night:

Tree House at Naduri Village 640×480.jpgTrek 828: Just received a sat phone call from Trevor to say they have reached Templeton's Crossing II. Today Trevor said there was rain and lots of MUD so they had a tough day.
SDC10594 640×480.JPGTrekkers have now reached Isurava where they are spending the night. According to Trevor, all continue to do well and will walk off the track tomorrow into Kokoda around 3pm.
As we have another group of 11 heading over to Orohaven tomorrow, they will no doubt be able to inform them about the track.

Screen Shot 2012-09-17 at 10.05.56 AM.pngCongratulations are in order as trekkers walked off the track around 2pm this afternoon and are now relaxing at Orohaven Kokoda Retreat.
They join our group of 11 who flew in today and who will commence their trek tomorrow so no doubt are sharing stories at Orohaven right now.
I heard they are enjoying a pizza at the moment but will have to hit the sack early as they need to be up early for the drive down to Popondetta.
