Trekkers arrived in town yesterday and were driven out to Bomana War Cemetery and to Sogeri Lodge where they spent the night. We informed them we would pick them up around 7:30am this morning. PNG taim did not kick in and as promised we arrived at Sogeri Lodge in time for us all to depart there right on 7:30am.

Trekkers on this trek include : Michael Green and Sarah Flatters

After listening to their background, it would appear that they meet once a year for a trek somewhere and this year it just so happened it was the Kokoda Track that they chose to walk on.

Sarah to the best of my knowledge is the first time we have had a female 'electrician' walk with us. Sarah is carrying her own pack which the boys were informing me looked like a 'pretty nice pack'!

The photographs below were taken yesterday. The other two people in one of the photographs were two trekkers in 'Trek 842' who commenced their trek late yesterday from Owers' Corner.

The photographs below were taken at Owers' Corner this morning. As we drove off I looked at my watch and it was 8:30am. Later in the morning we were informed they were at Imita Ridge and were heading down to Ua'Ule Creek for the night.

This group was supposed to spend the night at Ofi Creek but when they reached this point, the trekkers wanted to keep on walking so off they headed to Naoro Village. Turns out these two trekkers should have opted for a shorter trek as the speed they are walking is equal to a much shorter trek.

Perhaps they want to spend some time the other end relaxing – only time will tell but being in a trek with just themselves, they can determine the duration and based on themselves.

Today the plan is to give them a short trek down to Menari. If they stop there our guesthouse owner really looks after both the trekkers and porters so they should enjoy time in the village.

Trekkers are now in the Templeton's area and are now heading for Kokoda. Depends if they continue at the same pace whether or not they reach Isurava Memorial tomorrow. If so, they had better slow down or they will have plenty of time to relax at Orohaven as they are due back in Port Moresby until the 16th April.

Trekkers flew into Port Moresby earlier this morning and presently are on their way back to Australia. Sorry I appeared to have updated our 'Facebook' page but forgot my own website so my apology.

I missed catching up with Michael and Sarah today due to the busy Anzac Day treks but did manage to say hi on the phone.

One of my staff dropped them off at the airport for their flight back to Port Moresby.
