Lachlan and James caught up with the lead group at the half way point of Efogi. On the way up to Sogeri their father John spoke to them by two way radio and they both seemed pleased to know he was safe and well. They were pleased with themselves as well as they had a big day and it appears were up to the task of playing catch up.

As for the other trekkers they would have had a relatively short day from Menari to Efogi. Today the group will either pull up at 1900 or Templeton's Crossing for the night.

Congratulations to all trekker's for successfully completing their trek. WELL DONE!

John McMillan's Wife Helen flew up to PNG to join him on Sunday. This morning they were up bright and early at 3:30am to fly to Popondetta. They both drove up to Kokoda and surprised their two sons at the archway. A very emotional time for trekkers and porters alike.

As I type this, trekkers are heading down to Popondetta to catch their flight back into Port Moresby from Popondetta. They should touch down here in Port Moresby by 8:30am providing the flight is running on time.
