Unfortunately due to the race, this trek ended up flying out to Kokoda around 11:30am this morning. Today we had the Kokoda Challenge Race to get away at Owers' Corner along with another trek heading out from there. We arrived back at Sogeri Lodge area when I had to update the websites, pack last minute items and head down to Port Moresby. This trek had to walk up to Isurava after landing for their first overnight on the track: Trekkers in this trek include :
- Chris Tidswell
- Rachel Kurenda
- Stephen Mace
- Daniel Pittam
All photographs taken today have just been uploaded onto our Kokoda Facebook page.
Trekkers phoned up today and all are doing well.
They will arrive at Ower's Corner around 5pm this afternoon.
It really is an amazing effort walking the Kokoda Trail in 4 days.
Congratulations to them all!
Firstly my apology for not so many updates as Cyprian must have been buggered each day or could not get a signal as the first message I received was from Naoro Village to inform me what time roughly they planned on walking off the track.
Last night we caught up with them at Owers' Corner around 6pm and although looking tired they were all ok and obviously up to the challenge that they took on.
Well done everyone from all of us at Kokoda Trekking.
