MemberThe guide for this trek is John Derick Eroro.
John called up via sat phone tonight to say the group were all safely at Ua'Ule Creek and that they were looking forward to David catching up with the them later that night.
I informed him that at 6pm, he was already at Imita Ridge and would soon be heading down the hill in time to share their evening meal with them. He assured me it would make Ross happy to see his son approaching the campsite. I totally agreed as when I told Ross we were arranging everything so that his son coming up a day late could catch up with them, he was overwhelmed with emotion so obviously means a lot to him to have his son walking with him on the track.

MemberAround 2pm this afternoon, we collected David Prout from the airport and headed out to Owers' Corner. He seemed rather relieved that everything came together and that he was ok to fly to PNG.

MemberJohn tried three times to phone me by sat phone tonight but the line was very bad. Am assuming they are around the Manari/Efogi area. If there was any problems trekkers could have flown out today as their were several flights in that area earlier on today. So no doubt they are powering on towards their goal of completing their trek.

MemberCongratulations are in order for trek 742 as they walked off the track today and are presently at Orohaven Kokoda Retreat no doubt amongst the havoc caused by our Kokoda Challenge Race taking place today. Everyone did extremely well, so well done from all of us.
