Boss Meri
MemberHi everyone, its so nice to be able to post something as my computer has not been able to log on to the internet for days and luckily my son Shane arrived in off the track yesterday and being a computer programmer managed to get me back online!
Trekkers from this group were collected in Port Moresby from various locations such as the Gateway Hotel and airport and driven up to Sogeri Lodge via the Bomana War Cemetery. Everyone looked excited and ready for the challenge that lay ahead. Trekkers in this group include :
- Ian Dall
- Steven Wilson
- John Stroud
- David Russell
- Melissa Hawkins
- Annette Hawkins
- Jurgen van Herk
- Stuart Bowditch
- Brett Mills
- Arjun Iyer
- Ben Howes
- Adam Wood
The photographs below were taken shortly before they boarded the bus that would drive them to Owers' Corner and of course inside the bus once they were all seated….now do they look like a HAPPY bunch of TREKKERS, or WHAT ? ? ?

MemberAt Owers' Corner trekkers got to meet their personal porters who would share their journey walking the Kokoda Track:
Ian Dall is seen here with our clown Hobert Keke who somehow has a way of making us all laugh and nothing was any different this trek as taking group photographs was each as Hobert had they all laughing so no need to say SMILE
Ian handed me a business card shortly before heading off to the track and its seems they are walking with a purpose so why not LOG ONTO the following WEBSITE: http://www.StepUp4Autism.com

MemberAnother competitor Jessie Aire me his trekker who came all the way from England to walk the track. Jessie came 3rd in our last race in close on 20 hours! When this group reaches Kokoda they will no just how hard it would be to do this time – will Jessie or his brother Cyprian win this year's race, well its another wait and see as both brothers are hungry for the win.

MemberThree mates decided to hire a porter Chris Suma to help with their load. He can be seen here with Arjun Iyer, Ben Howes and Adam Wood. Kokoda must be an attraction for doctors as there are two in this group along with a computer IT guru.
